Silent Solitude

Silent Until Now...

Turkey day again, people.

Another year, another reason to take a day off of work.
That's right, Thanksgiving is no less than 4 days away
(it's exactly 8 pm as I do this). Time once again to give
thanks to no one in particular except for the pilgrims who
had this day to make it an official holiday. I'd rather
be sitting on my ass with turkey shoved down my gullet
than the store manager shoving shit in my face. Even if
it's for 1 day. Better to have a day off than suffer a
full 5 days straight.

It's gonna be a very quiet Thanksgiving here in my abode.
Just the parental units and I. My bro is working the
entire week which is pretty absurd. That's unfortunately
the way how big business works. He works for a major
corporation in NJ and has to slave it out. It's a damn
tragedy how most people in the US have to work on holidays
just to make ends meet. My heart goes out to those guys
cause they know that they have to keep going just for a
stupid paycheck. I would expand on the issue, but,
knowing the US Government loves to spy on its own
citizens, I'll keep my mouth shut.

After Thanksgiving, it's that "most wonderful time of the
year." Yup, Christmas. The real reason why working in
retail sucks. You have swarms of people or really "sheep"
flocking into malls and such. Some with their rugrats,
some with their significant other. Just a bunch of idiots
doing the last minute rush to get presents. I used to
think Christmas was the greatest day in my life. When you
grow older, the novelty of it all just fades unless you
actually like Christmas. Too me, Christmas is just
another day off, but, with presents! As a retail worker,
I won't be able to take the next few weeks. Just constant
complaints from everyone. It's sickening, but that's life
for me.

Well, gotta go now. Gotta rest up for tomorrow as I begin
another crapola week. As always, it's been your pleasure
and I hope you know who's kid dies of SIDS.
