Life, Or Something Like It

Sleepy Wednesday Morning

It's 1103, Wednesday. 641am. Overcast, with hints of rain
later today. The transition from darkness to overcast, was
really nice. This is what mornings should be like, if not
the rest of the day. That is, where it's dark out ... Then
a slow transition to morning, first preceded by a stark
cloudy sky. It makes handling the light alot better. At
least for me, at anyrate. At the moment it's 40 degrees
Fahrenheit, or as so dictated by the weather website. But
it "feels" like 32 degrees. Wind coming north east, maybe
a mile an hour.

I just got up about ... an hour and thirty minutes ago.
It's really hard to imagine that much time has passed by.
But I guess, it's understandable. I mean, it's like when
you wake up, you can't believe how fast time has gone by.
Well, the same with me ... only I spend most of that time
in a state of semi-consciousness ... checking email,
reading news, checking on other things. Actually, I don't
really get that much email. I would have to say that's
more of a ritual, than it is an activity.

Not really much happening as I've only been conscious for
an hour and thirty minutes. I checked the Election results
only to find that the results aren't in yet. At least for
three pivot states, Ohio, New Mexico, and Iowa.

Speaking of Iowa. Elle went there once, for a music thing.

But anyway, so ... apparently Ohio is the state which
determines who becomes the next President. Or that's what
I read. I have to check the electoral votes according to
states to see if that's really true. So far, the gap
seperating the two Presidential candidtates is two votes.

Oh. I forgot to mention this earlier. So yesterday, when
the polls opened, ... Apparently things got kicked off
when Bush won the island of Guam. I thought that was
really amusing to read. Considering Guam can't vote in
Federal Elections. Or if they do, I'm sure it's not
counted, save for the votes that come from military
personnel that are currently stationed on Guam, and whom
have residences in other states.

So it was really all for nothing. I guess the other bit of
news was that Dixville Notch voted for Bush. I think
that's the eastern most town of America. Although ... I
suppose, technically ... Guam would have to be the eastern
most part of America. Since Guam is like a few hours from
the international date line, and that would mean that when
the day starts, Guam is the first part of America which is
exposed to the new day. For instance, today it's November
3rd. In 2 more hours it will be November 4th on Guam.

But Guam's vote doesn't count in Federal Elections. I
mean, for one they have no representation in Congress to
vote on any Federal matters. Secondly, they pay no Federal
taxes. So ... ya. It would be a little strange if they
could.

So anyhow, I would just share that odd bit of information.

I'm not looking forward to classes today. I never look
forward to classes. Wednesday has to be one of the worst
days in my week. Namely because, I have 8am labs tomorrow.

Not to mention, Compiler class.

I have to say though, and this is without relevance to
anything I've been talking about in my entry, that I've
been lost in thought about two people for most of this
morning and last night, the few moments before I drifted
into unconsciousness. Namely, Elle and Echo.

Like I said yesterday, ... I'm going to need some time to
revise and evaluate how I feel for the two of them.
Although, I probably won't be able to do that for awhile
at anyrate.

It's too early in the morning for this. And the sky ...
It's brightening now. Shades of blue are appearing.

I think I'll end this here for now. I have another 16
minutes to wake up. Then it's time to start the last part
of my morning ritual.
