Life At 69th Street

Ever since I started taking the bus and stuff up to 69th
street I've slowly gotten the courage to just walk around
and see what was going on up there and actually there are
a lot of nice little shops up there.

Monday, when I went to work instead of walking around the
gallery like I always do, I had decided to just go
straight up to 69th street and see what was going around
up there. That turned out to be a really good idea. It
turns out they have a couple of game stores up there. And
this one clothing store, which had some really nice stuff
in it for really inexpensive prices.

They had this really cute white and blue jacket for; check
this out, $13 bucks! Really, $13 bucks. And it was
really warm and very cute. Plus they had some nice shirts
and jeans, not that I really need any jeans, but it's nice
to have something new. Actually what I would like is some
new overalls. I know they're not the most attractive
piece of apparel, but if you can get a nice pair, they are
comfy as hell. I'll take comfort over style any day.

Also up at this store, they had this really, really cute
underwear set. They were a burgundy bra and panty set.
The panties were those... Hm... I think they're called
boy shorts, but they were so cute, both the bra and
panties were cute. The bra was a 38c though. The last
couple of 38c's I'd brought I started sliding out of the
bottom and pouring out the top of, so I guess it was for
the best that I didn't have to money to get it. But wah,
they were so cute and god knows I need new under-things.
Especially bras. I think my bra collection has just about
reached its limit of how stretched thin it can go.

*Not that I'm saying this out loud...*

Also up there there's something called Tower Theater, and
on November 6th, George Carlin is going to be there. I've
been on the fence about seeing him, but now I really think
I wanna go. Actually that happened when I saw him 2 years
ago. I waited until the day before the show to buy
tickets, but it was a really good show. I really enjoyed
it a lot.

So, eh, Moe-chan told me that tickets were starting at
$37, that's $5 bucks less then I paid to see him two years
ago, so I guess I wanna go and see him.

*Yawn...*

It's only Wednesday? Actually, I'm glad today is
Wednesday; I had to work for the last two days, and taking
a bus, 2 subways, and a trolley for two days in a row was
madness. Plus yesterday, trying to get home one of the
65's never showed up.

Do you know what next Tuesday is?! Well besides the 19th,
it's the day that I'm going to go down to that meeting
where those assholes at Septa are trying to justify their
reasons for raising rates. They are going to be hearing
from me on that subject.

And I made a promise that I wasn't going to get all rude
and start shooting off my mouth. I promise I will be as
calm and intellectual as possible. But I just can't sit
by and let them force people who already face financial
hardships pay for their misappropriation. That's not fair.

Speaking of that, Monday, I got into a bit of an argument
with my mother about last Wednesday's anti-Cheney diary
entry. And maybe I did start off going over the line, but
she was like, "You shouldn't have said that. They could
arrest you. You should take it down."

I refuse to do it. I look at it this way, if I'm going to
be arrested for saying "I wish" I could do something, then
anyone whose ever wished for anything, should be thrown in
jail along with me. Plus, I was just speaking my mind,
which I'm pretty certain that's covered in the
Constitution. In which case, again, anyone who's ever
spoken his or her mind should be chucked in jail with me
too.

In away, I kinda look at it like that old saying where
basically at the end the person says, when they came for
me there was no one left to stop them. Yeah, I may cross
a very thin line, but if I don't say what I feel, then
what's the point of having a Constitution or this
government?

Woo-hoo: I actually like it up at 69th street. Actually,
I wouldn't mind living in Upper Darby, it's a really nice
area.
