my stupid mouth

i'll follow the sun

a bunch of people were going to the roxy, a club somewhere
in this city, last night. when i say a bunch, i mean it
was closer to, say, a million or so. i had absolutely no
desire to go, but i was going to go shopping with the
girls who needed to buy clothes for the occasion. first
we went to dinner. mike came to my table to tell me that
he and colleen were going to see napoleom dynamite and
asked if i wanted to go with them because he knew i didn't
want to go to the roxy. mind you, it had been my idea in
the first place to go see that movie.

all the girls left to go shopping, and i went with mike
and colleen back to his room. we just sat there and
talked for hours; my first real, substantial conversation
since i've been here. mike's dad has ms and i was saying
how kim's brother, tim, just found out last week that he
has it. so mike offered to talk to kim if she ever wanted
to, and he gave me advice for tim. he's the nicest kid
ever. who does that?

we left around 9 for the movie, choosing the later show so
that there was no chance we'd be back in time to go
clubbing. the traffic was crazy because of the jimmy
buffet concert at fenway. the movie was as funny, if not
funnier (because i was with people who thought it was
hilarious), the third time as the first. AND the woman
next to me stopped us from leaving during the credits
because, apparently, there is an epilogue after the
credits. thank goodness she was there to tell us. i
would've missed it for a third time.

we went back to mike's, watched the red sox, and then
colleen and i left a little after midnight. scott still
wasn't back; he went home for the afternoon because he had
a doctor's appointment. he said something about add, but
i'm not sure if he was joking. i would believe it, though.

so today is service day. and i need to go, come to think
of it.
