Mental Screamings
2004-09-01 06:00:09 (UTC)

I'll take that chloroform now.

Today was the day for sleep and irony. I had no classes
today except for choir at 5 pm. I got up at a reasonable
hour this morning and played games then went to lunch and
then went to help the speech freshies. Not too much in the
line of actual work. But that doesnt mean it was a boring
day. Far from it. So Donavon didnt recieve a key when he
moved in. There are supposed to be five keys on campus, but
currently there are only three. So security decided that it
wasnt a good thing and came to change the lock on our door.
So evidently now we need new keys, which I thought they
exchanged my key when they came through, but I was wrong. I
need to go get a new key tomorrow. Then Kat came to visit
us today. She used to go to our college but for some reason
or another she no longer does. She had to come back and
talk to professors about incompletes she had last year and
then she hung out with us. It was good to see her again.
During her visit, Neal, a republican and former amigo of my
roommates, caused havoc. So he heard about the portrait of
Bush that was residing in our apartment and decided to make
it his personal responsibility to recover it from the hands
of the terrorist liberals and return it to its rightful
place. So he just opens the door (we stupidly kept it
unlocked because of Donavon's lack of a key), rushes toward
the portrait in a white shirt covered in republican bumper
stickers, and so began what would be an hour at least of
childish behavior I've ever seen out of a college student.
Thats not to say that anyone else's behavior was very
mature, but his problem was with Donavon, and his solution
was to steal Bob's box set of Planet of the Apes, cell phone
and the apartment's cordless phone as ransom until the
painting was returned to his posession. It took a long time
to settle him down. He was a stubborn bastard, though.
Eventually, he did walk away with the portrait and was told
never to come back again. So no longer do we have a
portrait of G.W. hanging on our wall. Then tonight I played
Gunbound with my apartmentmates, which was quite fun. I'm
still trying to get better, but I'm learning.

G'night
