DINNER: Roast chicken, potato salad, corn and French bread
WHAT'S IN JOHN'S LUNCHBOX: Off today but he was called in to
work for about three hours this afternoon; I sent quite a
bit of food with him to put in the refrigerator at work--
chili to microwave; Fritos; buttered banana bread, a
nectarine,a banana, and four containers of iced tea
QUILTING: Knitting hat and booties to match Christmas 5-hour
sweater
GRATEFUL FOR: The smell of basil in the garden
READING: Four Souls by Louise Erdrich
WEATHER: Cloudy and muggy, a few brief showers, a sky
threatening thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80's
SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW: Household chores, quilting and
knitting; pay bills and deal with bureaucrats
QUOTE: The dry clothes danced and fluttered on the
