Life, Or Something Like It

Opera and Techno

It's 859pm. Still light out, despite it being almost 9pm.
It rained all morning ... and not like any sort of
sprinkling sort of rain, but rather it poured and poured.
There were some flashes of lightning too. The absolute
best sort of sound to wake up to. The rain I mean, not the
lightning. Although that's not so bad either.

Today was a normal day at class. Tomorrow we have a quiz,
and I feel rather prepared. Considering it's also open
notes as well.

I finished beating homeworld today. It's one of the few
games that I actually enjoy. I guess it's because in
homeworld you can actually build a fleet of ships and then
maneuver them against your opponent ... in true 3D space.
That is, attack from above, below ... and so forth. It
takes a bit more thinking to be plan strategy on a 3D
plane as opposed to simple 2D, but that's the fun. Oh and
I love commanding people and blowing stuff up. As a self
professed geek and novice gamer, I don't feel quite as bad
admitting that I enjoy video games. I only had like three
more scenarios to finish, and then it was to defeat the
last enemy fleet that was inhabiting my people's homeworld
and reunite them with the long lost land of their
ancestors. How cute. Oh and I love the Opera music. Just
sounds so ... trance like. I've never liked Opera. Not
that I've ever been to a real one, but I have been forced
to watch one on television. It has made me realized that I
would probably like the real life one alot less. I have to
admit that there are some parts of the singing that is
really good. Come to think of it, ... I think Opera is
kinda like the classical version of techno. And if not
classical, then perhaps a precusor or great ancestor. I
doubt many would agree though.

Afterwards I did about 45 minutes of weights and endurance
exercises. I've found that I've been sleeping alot more
soundly ever since I've started working out again. It must
have something to do with being exhausted. Plus I just
feel alot more ... aware. If that makes any sense. I'm
trying to get up to an hour and a half of working out to
maybe even two hours if I can physically handle it. I know
that muscle tends to go into a catabolic state after 60-90
minutes of a workout. It's kind of like the biological
version of the law of diminishing returns. So we'll see
about two hours. Plus I have to get the running in again
somehow. I find it really helps with the cardio and
overall lung capacity. Well ... I mean obviously.

I've come to the conclusion that one blonde chick is
pretty hot. At first I was kinda like ... undecided. But
now after examining her the past two weeks I've come to
the conclusion she is hot. In that sort of eastern
European kind of way. She's got rather nice ... blonde
hair and the way she looks its sort of this pouting sort
of thing. It's rather attractive.

I hope it rains tomorrow. I really enjoy the sound of rain
falling off the roof and onto the asphalt walkway that
leads to the backyard. The cold air that filters in from
the shaded open windows. Yea, it's real nice.

I think maybe I'll start re-reading my statistic notes.
Maybe.
