I was watching Jurassic Park two the other day, because I
was bored and fed up, and I havent watched a decent film in
ages. And I was sat there, innocently watching the movie.
When I suddenly realised something very disconcerting. They
missed bits out. Not once did anybody get shown being
eaten, or trodden on, or killed in any way. Not that I'm a
bloodthirsty person or anything, it was just kind of
annoying. My Dad pays hard-earned money to give us TV, and
the companies repay us by giving us half a movie. Okay, so
watching a dinasar step on someone, or gnaw through their
leg, doesnt really have any major effect on the plot. But
its still a part of the movie, and not puttting it in is
kind of insulting.
When I questioned my big brother (the only person I could
find who'd listen) on it, he said it was because it was
shown before the watershed, and little kids might watch it.
But these little kids have probably seen it anyway. Little
kids are most likely the most bloodthirsty human beings on
the planet. Who cares if they watch someone get bitten in
half by an extinct dinosaur? Thats what little kids want!
The onle people that really care about what gets shown
before the watershed are people who dont want to have to
answer embarresing questions from children, who will grow
up and watch TV beyond the watershed anyway, so whats the
Just wondering. Its that boring back here.
