Murmurs of the Heart

Harry Potter was LONG. Exciting, and strange, and funny,
and LONG. Did I mention...LONG? Everyone seemed to like
this third movie best of the three, but I think I prefer
one of the first two. I can't remember which one...so maybe
I am not really in any position to pass any kind of
judgement. I guess the minimum requirement would
be...remembering the movies in question to some extent of
detail. Which I don't.

Mom goes to Sweden tomorrow. I hope she can relax. She
needs to relax, because if she doesn't relax soon, I am
going to have a heart attack.

I went to the doctor today to check out my high blood
pressure. Of course, it read completely normal. I figured
as much. Let's see, what else...the doctor's scale showed
that I've lost 10 pounds. But the doctor and I decided that
it wouldn't kill me to lose up to 25 more. Seems like a lot
to me. I wonder what I would look and feel like.

They did some more lab stuff. It was seriously the quickest
blood draw ever. It took less than 30 seconds. I stared in
amazement as the nurse hyper-speeded around the room,
snapped on a needle, shoved it into my arm. I think she
wrapped up the blood draw procedure and the initial
required "How are you doing today?" at about the same time.
Very odd.

So, the real reason I went was to get antibiotics for my
damn heart murmur. Apparently you need antibiotics to
protect your heart from bacteria that can spread when you
go to the dentist. And since I have a dentist appointment
in a few weeks, I need the prescription before I go. But
the doctor didn't give me the prescription. She checked the
murmur, and informed me that it is sounding more pronounced
than she had expected, and that she heard a "Clicking". A
clicking apparently indicates that there could be some
collapsing of the valve. Doesn't that sound fun. So instead
of giving me my routine antibiotics, I got a referral for
an ultrasound of my heart.

I am starting to get the feeling that this just isn't
adding up to be my best year. I guess being diagnosed with
MS just wasn't enough.
