Spring in Hong Kong 2004

April 29 7a.m - Dad dropped me and Andrew off at the Penang
airport, and we hung around to wait for our Thai Airways
flight to HK at 8.40a.m. Was a little excited and yet felt
a lil unwelcomed with the thought of what my cous sis had
said still lingering on in my mind. The flight was
uneventful, though was a little dissapointed that they did
not have the cool TV's on the seats and i had to make do
with some reading and snoozing. We arrived early in bangkok
and HK, must be due to strong tailwind pushing us along. At
HK airport, i was a lil dissapointed to see just Alfred and
not the rest of the clan, which only reinforces my earlier
thoughts on my cous sis still being sore about the $$$
incident.

Anyway, me and Andrew just basically walked and walked the
whole of HK with mom trying her best to trail along, with
most of her time spent sitting down and getting a catnap on
whatever sitting areas she can find. I did get my Oakley's
though it was not the one i wanted most, but i guess it'll
have to be it temporarily. Both of us bought Columbia pants
which actually cost quite a bomb, but we both like our
pants a lot, and think it was $$$ well spent. I also
managed to get a Victorinox travelling bag which i simply
love. We had a good time with the kids, though they get on
our nerves most of time. We got a SIGG bottle as well,
with a neoprene cover!

HK is such a bz city with the people there scampering
around all the time, and we did not really like the idea of
staying there, but as a holiday place, can be quite an eye
opener. Food wise, it's another NO NO, as i can't seem to
find any semblance of healthy food around, and ended up
sharing a lil of mom's and Andrew's. Milk products are
definitely expensive in that country, their milk tea is
truly a rich experience!

Overall, i think we'll be back for winter at the end of the
year, and maybe this time make a trip up to China, in the
mean time, i guess it's leave/money saving time again.
