The Prom

Last night was our school's prom. I didn't get to go
because I'm just a freshman and only juniors and seniors
can go. But, Amanda invited me to go eat with her and
some other seniors before the prom. So, we all were
dressed up and we met at the prom sight. We had Amanda's
uncle (also my dad's boss and really good friend) drive
our limo. We went and ate in the next town over. We went
to Chili's. It was me, Amanda, Sarah(ooooh! your twin's
older sister! not the one from colorguard), Chris,
Heather, Ashley. We were the ones that rode in the limo.
Two other guys came with us but they drove themselves.
Which is probably good, because there wasn't much room
left in the limo. Anyways, we got to the restuarant and
walked in. Alot of people were looking at us because we
were all dressed up. We sat down at our table and Sarah
mentioned that there were some Army men sitting at a table
kind of across from us. They weren't even trying to not
stare. We didn't know who they were starring at though,
because there were 5 girls, all of which I thought looked
gorgous. All of the other girls got up and went to the
bathroom and I stayed with the guys. That was cool. I
only knew Chris but they all talked to me. We ordered our
food and started to eat. I didn't eat very much. I just
wasn't very hungry. Amanda was finished at about the time
I stopped eating so we went to the bathroom. To get to
the bathroom we had to pass the Army men's table. One of
them turned around in the booth to look at Amanda. I
laughed at that. Then, we were in the bathroom and the
other girls came in laughing hysterically. We weren't
sure what they were laughing at because they left as fast
as they came in. So, me and Amanda did a mirror check and
went back to the table. When we got back to the table
there were two huge plates of cheesecake with strawberry
drizzled underneath it, in front of the places where me
and Amanda were sitting. Everyone at the table told us
that the waitress said that it was from the Army guys. The
first thought that went through my mind was "nu uh...they
did it so that we'll go over there and say thank you and
the guys will have no idea what we're talking about."
But, Chris and Sarah kept persisting that we go and thank
the guys. Chris said that he would if we didn't...he also
said that he would "drag us by our hair" if we didn't say
thank you. So, we finally got up, and as they were
leaving, we said thanks. It was a really quick "thank
you" "you're welcome" kind of thing. Nothing else was
said. Chris helped me eat my huge piece of cheesecake
(and together we only devoured half of it) and Sarah
helped Amanda. We all had a really good laugh over that
whole situation...especially since they didn't know our
names, and probably had NO idea that I'm "a 14 year old
little girl," as Sarah put it. Then, we went to go back
to the limo and standing outside of the resturant were the
Army guys. Amanda and I walked very fastly to the limo
and crawled in. But, as we were driving off we rolled
down the windows and waved. The ride back to the prom was
fun. I had a blast. When we got close to the prom Ronnie
(the driver) turned on the stobe lights. We pulled up to
the red carpet and we all got out. There were a lot of
people standing on the sides of the red carpet. Just
people that go to our school that weren't going to the
prom and parents and stuff. People taking pictures,
people screaming. It was crazy. I got out and hugged
Amanda and Sarah and told them to have fun. One of the
guys that went to eat with us, that also sat across from
me in the resturant, said that it was nice to meet me. I
got back into the limo and Ronnie drove me to my dad.
Hahaha, my 10 seconds of fame. (Get it? I was on the red
carpet with seniors, and there were sophmores *a couple of
which I despise* standing at the curb watching everyone
get out and ...they see a freshman! Hahaha)

It was so much fun. I loved it. I laughed so much. My
voice was really hoarse when I got home. I think it's
back today. Even though I was the youngest person there,
and the only one that wasn't a senior, I still had fun.
And, I didn't feel like I was only there because Amanda
wanted me to be. I felt like they all didn't mind that I
was there. Which was nice. Because being with 7 seniors
when you're a freshman can be a little intimidating. But,
I got over that after a while and didn't feel the age
difference.

Now, back to you. Your twin's sister was there. She was
so nice. And, extremely funny. Just about everything she
said made me laugh. Her and Amanda said that I should
just sneak into the prom. Sarah said that she would "mix
me up and pour me into her purse and maybe it won't buldge
too much." It was so funny. I'm not sure if that's how
your sister would be. But, from what you've told me your
sister is pretty cool about alot of things too. So, maybe
you do have a twin family.
