Looking Ahead
I managed to get a little knitting done this morning before
church. The April newsletters were handed out today which
gives me a preview of the next couple of weeks. It's going
to be busy.
There's choir practice on Tuesday and the last Lenten
Covenant dinner on Thursday. On Palm Sunday the choir is
singing in both churches so I'll need to be in Shedd by 10
a.m. followed by our service at 11 a.m. The following week
there's choir practice again on Tuesday, the Friends and
Neighbors Potluck on Wednesday, a Maundy Thursday Evening
Service in Halsey at 7 p.m. and a Good Friday Service at
Shedd at noon. I will be bringing cookies to church on
Easter as will Carol and Karen so we can have refreshments
afterwards. I'm also signing up for three days of lay
leaders training but that won't be until October.
Hugh's schedule is thankfully less complicated this term.
I'll be driving him to the community college at 10 a.m. and
picking him up at 3:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10
a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Fridays. This means I'll have Tuesdays
and Thursdays completely free! Hurrah! Much, much better!
Tomorrow I'll need to buy Hugh's books and on Tuesday I'll
be going to Corvallis to buy Owen's books. I should have
plenty of time to knit and sew this week, which is good, as
Pastor Ruth wants to bless all the little garments I'm
making the first Sunday after Easter.
