Perfect Metal Gear Weather

I woke up twice today. Once at about four in the
morning. I don't know why, but my eyes just popped open
and I couldn't go back to sleep. I guess I had a lot of
things on my mind. But when I woke up, the ground was
clean and for a moment it seemed like it was going to be a
sunny day. However when I woke up a few moments ago it
was all snowy outside.

They had been threating a snow storm for a few days now.
My hope was it wouldn't snow at all. Especially
considering yesterday was about 67° degrees. But alas, it
started snowing. Considering it hasn't snowed in awhile,
I guess Kami-Sama decided to give everyone a big bite of a
reality sandwich.

But the up-shot to this crappy weather is it's perfect
mood weather for playing Twin Snakes. I was playing it
last night and I was surprised how far I'd gotten. Right
now I'm up to the fight with Psycho Mantis. I know most
people finished it the first day they got it, but I'm
taking it really slowly. I want to get a simi-good score
when I turn in my clear codes. So far I've only gotten
Snake caught twice. But I may take it back down to once,
cause I saved the game in two spots now.

The reason why I saved in two spots is cause I want to
show J'aime when she comes back the movie sequence with
the ninja. Oh my god talk about gorey! He like threw
someone against the door. He threw several people against
the wall. He even slashed some guy in half! It was so
grotesque, and disgusting, and horrific, but.... It was
kinda cool too.

Actually the fight with the ninja wasn't too bad. It was
easier then it was when I was fighting him on the old game
a few nights ago. The old game he totally whipped my
ass. And while it took a few moments to figure out where
the damn fight button was (which if you still haven't
played it yet, is the B button!). But once I found it,
the fight wasn't so bad.

So far, the worst fight was with the M1 tank. While it
was the same overall premise as the original game, they
changed the battlefield a little. For some reason there's
a foxhole in the middle of the field and while it was nice
of them to put some bullets in there for me, someone could
have said, "Hey, there's a foxhole here now, so watch your
step." But he kept going into the foxhole and I still
don't know how to work the controllers so there was a lot
of eating of rations and I actually died. Sniff...
Sniff... But, instead of continuing (which is another
thing I'm trying not to do), I just exited and started
over again. The second time around was much better. And
I didn't eat any rations that time.

I actually made it through the first floor of the nuclear
warhead storage without getting caught and setting off the
gas. They do still take off all your weapons, except for
the chaff grenades and the M9 tranquilizer gun. Oh thank
you God! Cause I had been worried about that for awhile.
Sneaking around there is the worst. But I just put
everyone to sleep and was able to creep around with no
problem. And where I got caught was on the second floor
after I fought the ninja. I had tranquilized someone and
couldn't move his body fast enough, so the guards came and
I had to shoot it out.

And no, I thankfully didn't see Meryl in her panties. And
speaking of that skank, she was all feeling up on Snake
during that movie sequence where Psycho Mantis has her
mind. I was like, "Hey! Snake is mine! Keepy your
grubby hands off!" And I think I mentioned before that
that whole Psycho Mantis movie sequence is creepy now.
That when he's demonstrating his power, that the pictures
in the background start laughing. Tu-wit, the pictures in
the back Scott Dolph (he works for Konami) on the left,
Hideo Kojima (creator and I swear he's a metal gear
himself) in the middle, and the guy from Silicon Knights
on the right. Sad that I know that.

But since today is all snowy and cold, it seems like as
good a time as any to play some Twin Snakes. Hopefully
today will be the day when I make the decision to kill
Meryl or let her live. Actually, it's not really much of
a decision. The thing is, I suck when it comes to having
to press buttons repeatedly. Don't know why, but I just
can't do it. So, I'll see if I can withstand the torture,
but if it looks like he's going to kack or his stamina bar
is getting too low, sorry, Meryl is a gonner. Besides,
I'd much rather have the stealth for the replay, so I
don't have to deal with as much claptrap.

Woo-hoo: Wai! It good Metal Gear playin' weather today!
Really gets you in the mood.
