More Charles

Went and got Charles from Renee's, never did get the money
for the cigarettes I brought to her, won't mention it
though; it won't happen again. Trying to open his eyes to
his character, it only made him angry. He told me he
didn't care how any of us felt about him and that's just
the reason we feel the way we feel now.
I asked him what he got for his Brother's b-day last year,
he said he couldn't remember, because he didn't get him
anything. I asked what he got for his Mother, he couldn't
remember that either. Mentioned the year I gave him $40 so
he would be able to get me a gift for my birthday and
reminded him that he spent $39 on himself.
Reminded him that all the money he earned with the jobs he
held was spent on himself, how he always wants someone to
do something for him, yet is unwilling to do anything for
anyone else. I also told him if he didn't like the rules
that he has to live by here, he can leave, but if he
leaves he is not to come back and I didn't care where he
went.
He's expecting $$ for his birthday, I told him people in
hell want ice water. I'm not giving him a dime, I'll treat
him to dinner and a movie, perhaps; no money! If he
weren't so selfish, his life would be better, he can't see
it. I'll be dropping the proverbial piano on his head, the
truth can be quite painful and most people don't want to
see how they really are, Charles is one of those people.
I'm hoping he'll look at himself realistically, one can
only hope.
By the way, he thinks I treat his brother differently and
better than I treat him, it's true! I treat Joshua
according to what he does and he gets what he deserves, I
mentioned this to Charles; that he's getting what he's
earned. If he were going to school and getting A's and
B's, we wouldn't have a problem, he'd be on his job! If he
kept a job, while maintaining a good grade point average,
we wouldn't have a problem, none of these things occur.
He doesn't get any of what he wants from me, I warned him,
he gets what he needs and nothing more. When he does what
I told him to do, what he needs to do, he can have
whatever he wants; until then he gets what I give him and
it won't be what he wants.
He gets exactly what he deserves. His Mother is still
trying to brainwash him into thinking that I treat his
brother different because I love him more, nothing could
be farther from the truth. I love Charles enough not to
give him what he didn't earn, there's no free ride in this
life and I can't let him think there is.
