DINNER: Barbequed chicken, rice with vegetables, coleslaw,
corn, garlic bread and peach pie for dessert (minus the
chicken for me)
WHAT'S IN JOHN'S LUNCHBOX: Just a banana to add to what he
still has at work and a thermos of hot coffee
QUILTING: Appliquing borders of Liberty Quilt and charity
knitting
WHAT I'M GRATEFUL FOR: Birds singing in the morning
READING: The Lord is My Shepherd: The Healing Wisdom of the
Thirty-Third Psalm by Harold J. Kushener (NF)
WEATHER: Cloudy and rain with highs in the upper 40s
SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW: Household chores, quilting and
knitting; trip to Albany and Corvallis
QUOTE: The front page was filled with such doings; a little
boy had been beaten by a schoolteacher; two houses had
burned, one with its family in it; a little girl was
suffering from an incurable disease. Somehow these child
tragedies seems always to concern children the same age as
your own. If you have children, you are always vulnerable.
