My sometimes coherent thoughts

love and sweetness

Well ... my weekend was absolutely the BEST EVER! It was
so nice to get away and Harry is such a sweetheart! It's
hard to describe how wonderful it is being with him when we
go away together ... he's always such a gentleman, so
complimentary, so loving and affectionate ...

He gave me the most beautiful necklace for Valentine's Day,
but it wasn't the gift that impacted me the most, it was
all the thought behind it! You see, this was a necklace I
had tried on at a store we went to when we were in Big Bear
a couple months ago. I really liked it because it was one
of those one of a kind pieces of jewelry that you don't see
everyday; however, it was expensive, so though Harry wanted
to buy it for me, I knew he couldn't afford it and that was
the end of that, or so I thought. Turned out he went up to
Big Bear with his brother last month and while he was up
there, he went back to that store to get me this necklace!
I actually had forgotten about it (the necklace) until I
opened the gift box and saw it lying there waiting for me
to wear ... I literally cried because I knew all the
thought that had gone into getting me that gift (not to
mention money!, but that's never the issue with me, 'cause
I'm not a person who bases anything on what something cost
or didn't, for me the value lies in the thought and in this
particular case, the thought was triple fold in value!) ...
but Harry's like that ... he doesn't just 'give' something,
there's always some kind of thought behind it ... and
that's just one of the reasons I love him so much!

He really liked the ring I gave him too ... it didn't fit
the finger I wanted it to, but it did fit his middle
finger ... and he looks so good in silver! Now he's got
his silver bracelet I gave him for Christmas and a silver
ring on each middle finger ... super sexy!

Our hotel room was nothing to write home about, but at
least it wasn't a shoebox! Nonetheless, it wasn't within
walking distance of anything and it was nearly 30 minutes
away from San Diego! Still, the place was clean and not
shabby, just too close to the street and train tracks and
too far away from food places and sightseeing spots.
Still, we had a wonderful time ... just being together and
being away from our routine.

After we checked into the motel on Saturday, we drove to
San Diego to find some place to eat, we ended up near the
port of San Deigo and spent a few hours looking at the
boats and walking around, and found a place to eat - which
included the most delicious New England clam chowder
YUMMY! On the way back to the motel, we stopped off in Old
Towne to check it out, we only stayed for a while because
it was just too cold ... but while we were there, he bought
me this really cute purse with 'lips' and bamboo like
handles - I've been wanting a purse like this for a long
time! It was on sale too! I honestly thought that that
was my Valentine's gift, because we hadn't exchanged gifts
yet ... he's just so sweet ...

The rest of Saturday evening was spent in the motel room,
in each other's arms ... nothing like a night of passion
and romance with the man you love on Valentine's! We got
hungry about 9:00pm and went to look for a place to eat.
We drove for about 5 minutes and found the heart of the
town and a small Mexican restaurant that looked pretty
busy, so we stopped there. The food was actually very good!

Sunday morning, I woke up early to wash my hair so that
Harry wouldn't have to wait around for me when he woke up.
He slept while I got ready, which was good, because he
doesn't sleep very well (if at all sometimes)lately and he
needed the rest. After he woke up and showered, we took
advantage of the opportunity and played around a little
before we took off to spend the day in Old Towne (San
Diego) ...

It was a fantastic day ... visiting the museums and all the
little shops and boutiques ... eating brunch at El Coyote
(I had the best Chicken Flautas Verdes, made with homemade
cilantro tortillas MUY SABROSO!) ... we shared a strawberry
margarita .... wasted $10 to visit the Whaley House
(reported to be one of the most haunted spots in United
States) which was a total rip off because it wasn't
anything like what was depicted on the History Channel (and
while we were there, we met this lady who told us that it
was nothing like it USED To because she had been there 6
years before and it had been beautiful and a true
representation of what the house really looked like.
However, much of the furniture had either been stolen or
sold and the ownership of the house had changed several
times, so things had changed drastically and for the
worse! Needless, to say we were all very disappointed),
anyway ... we made the most of it and had a good time
anyway. Actually, the whole entire day was just so
incredibly invigorating and full of love. I haven't felt
so happy in a very long time.

Well, I will write more, but I've gotta get to looking like
I'm actually doing work around here ... it may be
President's Day and a holiday for some, but not for me ...

OH, I must make note of one very important thing ... on
Friday night, Harry was involved in a huge car accident! I
am so very thankful that he wasn't hurt, but his car was
totaled! Some stupid woman went through a red light as he
was going through a green one and he couldn't stop in time
to avoid hitting her! He hurt his neck and shoulder but
nothing else that we can tell so far. At least this time,
he will be able to do something about it ... the police
came, took a report, there were witnesses and everything.
So Harry's talking to an attorney today, going to start
seeing a Chiropractor and maybe he'll get a sufficient
settlement, at least enough to replace the car and maybe a
little left over ... again, I am just so GLAD and so very
thankful NOTHING worse happened to him!

SO THANK YOU GOD, THANK YOU FOR WATCHING OUT FOR MY MAN AND
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING AS ALWAYS ... without YOU NOTHING
is possible! 'NO GOD, NO PEACE, KNOW GOD, KNOW PEACE!'
