My Thoughts for the Day

Why is my heart not reaching everyday?

If We Are The Body - Casting Crowns

It's crowded in worship today
As she slips in trying to fade into the faces
The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they
know
Farther than they know

CHORUS
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?
There is a way

A traveler is far away from home
He sheds his coat and quietly sinks into the back row
The weight of their judgmental glances
Tells him that his chances are better out on the road

CHORUS
Jesus paid much too high a price
For us to pick and choose who should come
And we are the body of Christ

CHORUS
Jesus is the way

This song right here hits my heart. This song is sung by
one of my favorite bands of all time. Casting Crowns is a
group of people, that sing together to do ministry through
music. In this song, I think they hit the nail on the head.
A lot of people in the world claim to be Christians, but
really are you? Read this song. If we are the body? Why
are'nt his arms reaching. You know God's arms are always
reaching for us to grab on to. I think one of the greatest
Psalms in the Bible tells it all. In Psalms 71, the first
verse says, " In you O Lord, I have taken Refuge". I think
that hits the nail on the head right there. I think that
one question in the first line of the chorus is asking you
a question. Why are'nt you letting God into your life? Why
are you not reaching for Christ arms? About 2 years ago, my
life turned around completly. I went to a church camp that
is called Uplift and it was awesome there. I could feel
Christ ripping at my heart and tugging at it. He was
telling me to get up and become part of his body. I hope
that you take the time to read this song.
Think about these questions:
Are your arms reaching for Christ?
Are you part of his body?
Are you letting God walk through your heart?
Are you teaching his word?
In Christ,
