black is their garb and faces
smiles do not escape their lips
silent in their protest they stand
fighting for a faith in madness

outside eyes slither over them
still they stand, silent in their protest
to demand a world that embraces peace
hating war and all its death

destruction of a world they love
the sun will settle in the west
it knows, nor cares, none of pain
silent in their protest of the blood that stains do they
stand
