Gulf Coast of Florida Christmas 2003

It has been nine years since I have seen the three sisters
together. Sue, the oldest, Joann, and Marie, the
youngest. Perhaps the three most important women to shape
my life, for they started from birth. And in that house
among all the sons and daughters and granchildren, were
ghosts.
We celebrated together as family, a unique tribe,
inextricably held together by love and history. We were a
part of the peace and love movement from the sixties,
survivors of two world wars and countless skirmishes. We
are pieces of the American Dream.
