QUOTE: Choosing a Christmas tree is like choosing one dog
from a whole kennelful. Everyone looks at me with pleading:
"Love me, take me home". If I look at more than three, I am
lost. My way is to take the first one I touch. I picked up
a tall one at the first oaf the line; the gummy juice from
its trunk came out on my bare hand. "I like this one," I
said.~ Rural Free: A Farmwife's Almanac of Country Living
