To painters 1

Forsake sleep last night to pretty much complete the
dragonslayer painting. Its coming along really great. I was
starting to freak out because I have the art show in less
than a month and I havent had much time to do my art. I
will complete the painting after a day or two the fresh
paint sets a bit. Tonight when I get out of work I am going
to make a poster for the show and frame it. I want it to
look like another piece of art in itself so Im doing it in
acrylic paint. I am also going to complete a pen and ink
drawing and do a watercolor wash over it. Another night of
no sleep but it will all be worth it in the end. I plan to
do a pen and ink (12 by 16) drawing and wash every two days
until I have at least five to eight of them. Alternating
between oil and then when I want to rest a bit I will
switch to the pen and ink. Ever have this happen...I was
three hours into the painting and was completing the face
of the woman that is to be the dragonslayer and I was
absolutely thrilled with the outcome (especially the eyes
which are to me the most important part of the figure I was
painting) and then I accidentally bumped it with my brush
and boom...it was gone. I think the best thing to do is to
just go at it right away and fill it back in because its
still fresh in your mind. I didnt even really think about
it because I had just completed it. Anywho...I just got off
work and have to leave for my other job in 25 minutes so
perhaps I will want to drop by here again later.
