i will love you even when you wont let me

...the lovely words of as cities burn.

so. im finally home from good ol' jackson mississippi. the
ride there was very good. mallory and my mom slept, emily
drove, and we listened to music and had a good time. we
found it pretty easy, and we were in the hotel room getting
ready by 6:30 exactly. may i add that the weather was
super? we parked down the road and walked to the horizon
community church. there were hundreds of kids outside in a
big line. we exchanged hugs with fat tony, and got in the
back of the line. kyle davis and josh followed behind us.
some fellow baton rouge kids attempted to cut us, but we
made it in before them.

we made it in, and the acb merch table was right by the
door. tj was there, he shook hands with another guy. i was
smiling at him, and his eyes just kinda lit up and he was
like HEY! so we exchanged hugs and made our way to the side
of the "stage." plastic glasses played first. good im sure,
but i really dont remember them. as cities burn was up
next. we pushed our way thru the crowd, politely saying
excuse me. front row baby. sadly, they only got to play 3
songs, but what can i say i loved every minute of it.
*intro, to dust for tyler, the new in bloom, and the new
song.* (I LOVE THE NEW SONG.) the agony scene was next. we
remained in the front row. robyn stood beside me. we got
pushed and ran over big time. i fell on the stage, robyn
was pushing people back, i lost my flip flop for a while,
until mallory found it thank goodness. but it was good, i
enjoyed them. especially the bassist. that was my second
time seeing them, i knew they looked familiar. we left the
stage area after them. beloved was next. they were good. we
finally took the chance to go to the back and witness the
hardcore dancing. it was very good although the mississippi
kids are used to moshpits i believe, so i think some of
them were making fun of hardcore dancing. oh well. during
that time we saw fat tony run out of the lil circle
limping. UH OH. he was hurt. stevie and mallory to the
rescue. haha we sat with him to make sure he was ok.
someone kicked him on his hurt thigh. OUCH. but he lived.
and no blood on his clothes this time. yay. so....after
beloved was norma jean. the highlight of the night to all
im sure. emily and mallory didnt really like them. and i
couldnt see b/c people were standing on the side-stage area
blocking my view. but oh man what i saw/heard was so good.
i mean i have some of their stuff downloaded. but mannn. it
was super. i hafta get the cd asap. they didnt have them
there. emily was ready to go after about the second norma
jean song. so, me not wanting to keep them there against
there will, left. before we walked out the door i bought 2
of the new acb shirts, and a norma jean shirt. too bad i
got medium when i could be wearing a small or youth large.
anyways, hopefully they will shrink. i was rushed and didnt
know how big the shirts ran. so yet again we exchanged our
hugs with fat tony, said our goodbyes, and left. went back
to the hotel room. ate pizza. went to bed. slept till 9:15.
ate breakfast in the lobby as a guy with a grey acb shirt
was sitting behind me. then, drove home. and now im here,
reflecting back on good times.

i wish YOU would have been there with me tho. it just wasnt
the same and no show is complete without you.
