Back from the Dead -- Changed

After many months away from my journal, I suddenly feel
some wierd urge to reconnect myself to the mysterious
white and black pages of this electronic habit that so
many people have the chance of reading. My name is
Mysterious Rocker, and I am hoping that this journal
becomes an interesting and positive form of communication
for me throughout the many trying times in my life.

This first entry is going to be about change. Have you
ever stopped to think about how everything around you
changes. Some changes are more subtle then others, but
nothing ever stays the same for more than a brief period
of time. Life is full of change, from what you wear, to
eat, to think, to feel, to who you consider a friend,
etc. I look at myself and I don't think I can actually
say there is anything about me that is the same from 5
years ago or even 10 hours ago. Why is change so
important? And why is change so hard to understand and
cope with. I look back at my life and I realize how I
miss so many things, but I know deep down that no matter
how hard I try, I will never be able to get those things
back, they are just memories manifested in my heart and
conscience. The days where I sat on the playground with
my friends, acting as a space invader, or doing whatever
came natural for me. I enjoy learning and experiencing
new things but it always saddens me to reflect on things
that are no more. I guess it is imparative that change
occur for life to continue on. I would be kind of strange
to see a 40 year old playing "Space Invaders" on the
playground of a middle school -- now wouldn't it.

All I have are my memories to keep me overjoyed with the
excitement and fun of things that used to be. I was just
reading the epic of Gilgamesh, for those of you who have
read it and even those who have not, one of the major
themes found within the plot is to live life to the
fullest. Of course things are going to change, but life
is about making the most of what comes your way, enjoy
life, play hard. Make the most of every moment, because
the next moment things will have changed and you may never
get the opportunity to do what you wanted a few seconds
ago. This is kind of sad when you think about it, but
don't reflect on it in a negative way. I was just
listening to a really cool song by Green Day, Time of your
life. "Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road,
time grabs you buy, the rest directs you where to go, so
make the best of this taks don't ask why, its not a
question but a lesson learned in time, its something
unpredictable but in the end its right, I hope you had the
time of your life... I ENCOURAGE YOU, CHANGE HAPPENS-
EMBRACE IT AND REMEMBER TO HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE --
