Unit Plans and Seattle Rolls

hey everyone....

i just had one of those super-stress weekends...i had
to read an article and write a review for ed psyche, and i
had to combine all of the lessons from methods and
materials, and create a unit plan.

neither project was especially hard as far as page
numbers were concerned, but both projects left me
completely drained psychologically...which is kind of
funny. ;-)

the weather has been far too hot for far too long. i pine
for the cool forests and gentle breezes of the west side
of the Cascades. the only trees here were artificially
planted, and the wind is rarely gentle and seldom cool.
I will admit however, that it is nice to go for walks a night
in 70 degree weather and look up at the stars and
moon...too bad i've only been able to do that once all
summer.

today i had a meeting with my group from ed law. we're
supposed to team write a 10 page paper. i had thought
that we were supposed to meet at 4, and when it turned
into 415 and no one was here, i said "screw it" and
went to go get dinner, since i'm supposed to be
working from 5-8.

about halfway to the japanese place (about a block
away) i realized that they had said their CLASSES got
out at 4, and that we were meeting at...i couldn't
remember...either 430, or 415. i hurried across the
street to Kiku-chan's (the take out place) and dashed to
the ATM at the copy shop in the same strip-mall thingy.

I wanted to get some food fast, and as luck would have
it there was some sushi at Kiku-chan's. I bought a
6-pack of California rolls, and a 6-pack of Seattle rolls.
(rice, seaweed, cream cheese, salmon, and usually
cucumber or avacado...i forget which)

when i got back i found out that the meeting was more
or less over, i was assigned my section, and we parted
ways.

the sushi wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. it was a
little chewy, like it had been in the fridge all day, which it
probably had. and the seattle roll was missing the
cuke...or avacado...

anyway, i have to go now. it's time for work.

peter
