(Lunchbox) Last night's show

Well, we got on our merry way to Bowdown Baptist at about
3:00.... and made it up to Douglasville like 30 minutes
later.... which left us a whole lot of free time.. so we
ate at Wal-Mart.. and almost bought these super-cool Hulk
fists..... we definitely have to get some of those things.
And then we made it to the church... and Chris (the youth
pastor) invited us to his house (next to the church), and
we hung out for a while.. and he had some really nice ps2
games and dvds, but we didn't have time to get involved in
all that.. then we went back and unloaded the trailer..
Thanks to Tony for riding with us and helping with
everything.. and as always, thanks to Ruth and Michelle, we
would go insane without you guys... and as we're setting
up, I look over and see some old-school nintendo games.. I
mosey over to check them out, and lo-and-behold! The best
games in history are sitting right there!! R.C. Pro-Am,
Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon II, The Legend of Zelda, and
the best of all time, THE GOONIES II!!! Oh man.... so I
hurried through the soundcheck, and got my new amp cranking
right.. and then proceeded to play nintendo with Stu for
the next hour. It was fun, and Andrew ridiculed us and
said that the games couldn't be as good as we said, but he
has never explored the roots. The NES is the root of all
video gaming systems... I mean, I played Atari, but it was
dots on a screen. NES was the mad bomb, yo. Anyway, after
we prayed, we heard 2 letters from Katie (apparently a cool
girl in the church), and then we got up.. The soundcheck
was great, except that there was no one in the room.. so
when we started the first song, the guitars were too weak.
So we cranked 'em up after the first song and got things
rolling. We finished the concert, and met cool people
afterwards, as always. Always cooler people than us, it is
so weird. And then we took off with pizza and mountain dew
in tow. Made it home after a while.. and that's the
night. The Goonies II .. represent.
