Persephone 5

With an insane grin, Persephone walked back into the locker
rooms. She closed her eyes and let her senses indulge in
her wonderful surroundings. The cool, crisp, albeit
slightly dank air of the locker rooms...the smell of
freshly-polished wood...the sounds of the wind blowing
outside and water dropping from the leaky faucets...It
filled her with such elation! The grin lessened to a self-
satisfied smirk as she strutted over to her faithful
chalkboard. Her graceful, long Seeker fingers wrapped
themselves around a piece of chalk. She tossed it up in the
air and caught it with one hand, then set it back down at
the base of the chalkboard again. She was finally home.

This year was going to be much different. This year, she
was going to run the team like an actual athletic team. Not
only would scouts from Quidditch teams for all over Europe
and some from her native America be here soon, but she
wasn't sure just how much longer she'd be able to play
Quidditch. The future was irrelevant; her time was now. The
team was going to be turned around. Call it the return of
the slave driver, the reappearance of Captain Blood,
whatever you'd like, but Slytherin was going to win this
year. No doubt about it.

Her expression got serious as she went over to her locker,
carefully taking out her new practice robes. They were
going to be a requirement this year. Not only would team be
required to play their best, but she wanted to them to look
their best as well. As she dressed, she thought about the
upcoming season. They had a magnificent team. However, no
one was playing to their potential.

Click, click, click. She approached her locker again and
took out her brand new broom, a shining, glistening
Firebolt. She turned it around in her hands, so that the
name was facing upward. It was the most beautiful thing
she'd ever seen in her life. Speaking of beautiful, there
was also a handsome new addition to the team, Draco Malfoy.
She had confidence in his abilities. Not to mention that'd
he just bought a few of the best racing brooms in the world.

Shaking her head gleefully, she put the broom back, closed
her locker and walked back over to the chalkboard. She
began to draw a few plays, waiting for the rest of her team
to arrive.
