Friday Five

1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or
why not?
In some things I'm very organized and in others, I'm
not at all. I keep very good track of things that are
important to me. My sewing room, for example, is well
organized. I am good at keeping appointments. I'm not good
at organizing papers. My files are a mess.

2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar,
etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
Yes. It's a small one with month-at-a-glance pages
where I keep track of appointments. I keep it in my purse.
It also has pages in the back with address and phone
numbers. I also have a back-up calendar on the refrigerator
door with the same information. BTW, my refrigerator door
is well organized. I have my favorite comic clippings, some
recent cards I've received and a grocer list. Now the
inside of the refrigerator is a different story.

3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
The top is organized. The drawers are not.

4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not

5. What's the hardest thing you've ever had to organize?
I used to organize a lot of fundraisers and events
(Invention Convention, Science Fair, Writer's Day, etc.) at
the elementary school when my children were there.
Basically it's deciding on what committees are needed,
finding good chairmen for each one, letting them find the
volunteers to do the various tasks, and then putting the
thing together including funding, publicity, the event
itself and sending out the thanks you, public and private.
They were fun but exhausting.

One question not asked was
6. Is your purse organized?
The question probably wasn't asked because only some
of the responders are women. The answer is yes, my purse is
well organized. And, for that matter, so is my car. I've
learned to make lists of what I need and then making sure
they're in my purse (or car) before I leave the house.
