Hometown, USA

is the name of the quilt top I'm working on. It's by Sandy
Gervais of Pieces from My Heart. I like it because I can
make it using scraps and Lord knows I have lots of those!
Each block is applique--a flag, a house, a hand holding a
flag, etc with each one a different size. They have strips
to frame them and the border uses over 200 2" squares.
I've finished almost all of the blocks (just two more to
go) and have cut out most of the 2" blocks. Soon it'll be
time to put it all together.

I have finished the blocks for the Folk Block of the Month
quilt and want to put that one together and also finish up
the Bible Quilt top. Then it'll be time to start quilting!
I've had a quiet and relaxing day today. I read the
newspaper, baked cookies, knit, and quilt. The pizza dough
has finished rising so it's time to finish it up. John
will be working graveyard shift tonight (6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.)
so I'll probably quilt, knit or read this evening. Or maybe
I'll just go to sleep.
