The Atrocious Anthony. Haha say what? Oh wait...maybe...heh...

This is tight! My homeboy Peter Pearsall, for an english
assignment, has written a report about ME! Haha. The
assignment was to write about the most interesting person
he knows, wow I feel special... I am INTERESTING! Well
actually alot of people think I am, BUT that's besides the
point. Anywho... yeah so here it is! Enjoy!

The Atrocious Anthony

I still remember the atmosphere that night. I was
in eighth grade, and I was going to my first concert with
my good friend Anthony. The chilly spring air heightened
our senses, as we prepared for the auditory experience of
311 and Incubus. Excited and nervous at the same time, my
dad dropped us off and told us to call once the show ended.
We marveled at the sheer amount of people standing in line,
and it seemed like an eternity before we actually entered
the Paramount Theater. At the door, the security staff
frisked the concert-goers, checking for illicit materials.
This was our first pat down, so I remained calm and silent,
hoping Anthony would follow suit. Alas, he couldn’t contain
himself.
After he got patted down, he turned to the person
checking me and exclaimed, “Check his shoes! Check his
shoes! He’s got something in his shoes!”
I froze. What was he doing?! Fortunately, the staff
was in a cheery mood and just laughed the incident off.
Anthony has always had a penchant for being loud and
spontaneous, especially amongst strangers. His mom always
tells him that “one day, his mouth is going to get him in
big trouble.” He’s known to point and laugh at random
people just because they look funny, and although it’s
mean, I find myself laughing with him.
During the summer, Anthony and I spend a good
amount of time at our friend Bryan’s house. One fateful
summer, however, Anthony got a little too loud and Bryan’s
parents lost their patience. They banned Anthony from their
house for a couple of weeks, during which he spent at my
house. Subsequently, he was banned from my house as well,
reasons cited as “eating too much” and “being obnoxious”.
We concluded that the presence of Anthony in a household
other than his own became detrimental to family life.
Although parents find him annoying, he’s still a great
friend to Bryan and I. Perhaps we’ve become immune to his
antics.
Anthony is also very big on self-image. I wouldn’t
go so far as to call him conceited, but he clearly cares
about how he looks. Any reflective surface attracts him
like a moth to the flame, just to get a second’s worth of
primping his hair or adjusting his hat. If the surface is
big enough to show his entire body, he immediately breaks
out into his gliding and popping style of dance, to see if
it “looks tight”. We like to tease him about it, but he
knows how to dance better than any of us.
His hair garners constant discussion. I’ve always
bleached his hair for him in the past, and we argued about
what we should do with it. We often dyed it red, and the
first time we tried this was a sight to remember. We
bleached his hair too light, and when he put the red in it
shone with a very bright, vibrant hue. In a couple days
though, the red quickly faded to pink, and he reluctantly
shaved his head. We ridiculed him for months after that,
and he blamed the incident on faulty hair dye from Thailand.
On the inside, it seems Anthony has remained
virtually unchanged since 8th grade. Hence, we enjoy his
company while seeing concerts. On this particular Tuesday
night, Anthony is waiting in line with us to see Gruvis
Malt play at The Vera Project. In the middle of our
somewhat subdued conversation, Anthony bursts out laughing,
pointing at a figure on the other side of the street.
“Hahahaha! Look at her!!” he yells. The old woman
appears to be homeless, and takes no heed to Anthony’s
jeers.
“Oh man, I’m so mean! But it’s so funny!”
We can’t help but laugh at how blatantly rude he
acts sometimes. Suddenly, he notices that he can see his
reflection in the windows next to us, and starts to dance.
Anthony’s a party in a box, but beware: things can get
downright insane once he gets going.

So True, So True. Hahaha. Yeah this the real Anthony the
side you will almost ALWAYS see. I am quite the joyful
fella, but sometimes my exhilaration can get the best of me
and blind my thinking. This is what leads to my insolence,
which is also unfortunately entertainment to other around
me. It's disheartening but that's reality.
