poem by Christine written 3 years ago

Just another invading touch
another dagger pierces the ragged flesh
wound upon wound now painless
a deafening scream that no one can hear
the tears no one can see
One child cowers
while another grows fearless
the roller coaster rides on
ice cold blackness comes all too soon
another lift off...trip to the moon
tiny fingers tiny toes
where it stops nobody knows
the dream becomes reality
reality is a dream
one whole mystery
amnesia since birth
whisper whisper lies untold
burn ears that sear the soul
one little voice calls out
like a grain of sand on a beach
much too small for big to reach
tiny fingers tiny toes
where it stops nobody knows
