The real reason pioneers had babies

In case any of you lucked out or happened to be in a large
hole in Russia over the weekend we had an extensive power
outage. Which meant were didn't have power from early
Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.
At first it was A 'Brown out" which meant the power was
still there but we couldn't use anything because it is bad
for the appliances. Then our power went out all the way and
it started to get colder and colder and darker and darker...
I'm serious it was to dark to read or do anything else by
3:00. So my sister and I decided to start a fire (in the
fireplace of course) But neither of us knew how to do this
because me dad always does this but he was out of town. I
don't think they like to let us do it something about not
trusting us with flames and matches or something (that
might have something to do with the Barbie issue, were my
sister and I set are Barbie’s hair on fire when we were
younger) So we got to burn all kinds of fun paper. Mostly i
just liked to throw it in and watch it burn. And we burned
that shiny paper (even though you aren't suppose to because
its bad for the environment, but we decided it was okay
because we were going a whole day without using any fossil
fuels.) We also decided that the power outage was a
government scam that had something to do with Oil and
saving money. WE KNOW THEY ARE WATCHING!! THEY"RE
EVERYWHERE!!
Jenna and I joked that we were pioneer women. And then we
also decided that the only reason the pioneer's had babies
was because the "intercourse' part kept them warm and then
the extra bodies around the house kept it warm to.
I had lots of fun burning stuff the whole time, but I was
getting cranky because it kept getting colder It was a
freakn' 44 degrees INSIDE!! I was mad! Because we have a
generator but we gave it away to our friends " so we could
HELP THEM Out" So my mom took us out to dinner to try and
cheer us up and then we went to Lizzy's house to watch the
game. Afterwards we came home and all decided to sleep in
the same room by the fire but it still got freezing because
none of us wanted to sty up and "stoke the fire" all night.
WE went to church the next morning without showering and in
our jeans and sweaters. (Basically the same outfits we had
worn the day before) By the time we got home the power was
back on and we were so happy we just did a little dance.
(well not really but you get the picture…)
