9:23AM- Here we go...

Words of encouragment from Seth:

FredBear31 (7:23:40 AM): you will succeed today, you are
god, you can do anything, you have more power than mighty
mouse, ninja turtles, and max mouse combined
FredBear31 (7:23:40 AM): good day, good luck, and get your
good fucks

6:13PM- ...'cause it's the world I know.

Woke up early. Got ready. Extremely nervously. MK slept in. She
rushed over here and we left around 10:15AM. Stopped at Subway for
food for lunch, then went to the dollar store to get candy. Went to
Scotland, searched endlessly for a parking spot. Went into the
school. Paced around waiting for the class to come back from gym. Did
our lesson. It was.....alright I guess. Some of the kids were really
receptive...others, well, let's just say "Diamond" didn't even know
that there aren't just 2 days in a week. It was rough. And
emotionally/mentally exhausting. Mrs. Kosher gave us permission to
leave early, so we did. Came home, still jittery. Stopped for gas,
then sat in the living room and watched Unsolved Mysteries and ate
our food, while digesting the day. Came upstairs, worked on my ransom
note, talked to Dan...did a little work. Just basically wasted time
until Art. Got a ride from Jon. Went outside in this freezing APRIL
weather to study the architecture of Shearer Hall. A wonderful time,
let me tell you. Got done early, went to Amie's so I wouldn't have to
walk home and then come back for dinner. Relaxed there for a little,
then went to Reisner. Seafood night. Had all kinds of fish products,
plus some of that chocolate worm stuff for dessert. Stayed and talked
until her crush got there, then started for home. Stopped at the CUB
to drop of a letter, saw the boys there and talked to them for a
little. Went to Cat's to finish my second to last interview (thank
god!!). Saw Ed on the way, talked to him for a little. Did my
interview...it took 10 minutes. Came home. About to start my Latin
America paper (will it never end?!) Still have to interview McCormick
by tomorrow, but he is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. (he's
sleeping right now...) I'll probably end up going to exec. around
10PM and staying until they get out. Maybe I'll work on my paper at
the library/computer lab. We'll see. I really want a nap, but can't
decide if that is a good idea. Sigh.

He's got those el. ed. majors pegged:

colinATship (1:33:53 PM): do all the girls in your classes look
exactly the same?
chikums (1:34:03 PM): no...?
colinATship (1:34:18 PM): meek, quiet, no makeup, overall plain girls
who want to teach only 2nd grade
chikums (1:34:29 PM): haha, i mean...there are some of those
chikums (1:34:32 PM): but not all of them are like that
colinATship (1:34:40 PM): id guess 90%

Apparently "writing" majors have the truly glamorous lifestyle:

colinATship (1:36:17 PM): in the writing world you are a failure if
you arent an alcoholic by 15 and a suicide victim at 30
colinATship (1:36:29 PM): its a pretty strict life
colinATship (1:36:58 PM): they want you to flake out in your classes
so you eventually drop out so that you can really spend time to
write.. you spend the majority of your time driving yourself crazy

And then the conversation turned REALLY productive:

colinATship (1:43:48 PM): why dont you just shut up
chikums (1:43:59 PM): why don't YOU just shut up?
colinATship (1:44:15 PM): interesting point
colinATship (1:44:18 PM): but think about this: shut up
chikums (1:44:30 PM): ah, maybe. BUT....shut up
colinATship (1:44:59 PM): clever rebuttal, but perhaps, just think of
this as a possibility, shut the hell up. what do you say to that
proposal?
chikums (1:45:27 PM): two words: shut up
colinATship (1:46:56 PM): i have very little left to argue, because
that was such a witty comeback, but how about these two things: shut
up, and why the hell do i revert to childish siblinglike arguments
when i talk to you??
colinATship (1:47:05 PM): also, on a side note, shut up

9:59PM- Her arms fall up, stretching up and reaching, she moves the
sun...

Didn't do my paper, didn't interview McCormick, didn't go to exec.
Didn't do anything. Sat at the computer and played games, talked to
some people. Watched That 70's Show. Went to the CUB with MK for
second dinner (all candy, of course). Went to Gene's to get his Quik
N Brite for my sandals that I'm gonna wear for induction. About to
clean them, then I'm gonna go to bed. Yep. At like 10:30PM. And for
real this time. I'm about to take the Tylenol PM to seal the deal. I
can't wait.

***************************
Sitting in an empty house
On a simple chair
In the corner
Of an empty room
On a wooden floor
With nothing between here
And where I came from
Except for a girl
Waiting for the bus
With a leather knapsack
Over her shoulder
And hope in her eyes
And enough beauty
To fill this empty room
A thousand times
She ties her legs in a bow
And like butterflies
Her eyes close
Then her soul stretches
Like paint in the rain
She breaths.
