emotions ride the tides of human condition
in the hope of finding new mercies
each traveler seeking his own survival
pressing on toward a goal unfathomed

time races around, in and through
all things that live and breathe
hearts beat without meticulous planning
go onward toward some common goal

I sit here with you and time flies around me
while in my heart it stands still
one moment perpetuating eternity
fills my lungs with hope
leaves me breathless and alive
