Caged

Padding back and forth
Locked within this fortress
Away I wither
More distance grows with each day

Even though I step soft
Across many jagged shards
Of what are your words
My soul is cut , left to bleed

Not so long ago
Our two hearts beat of harmony
Through the course of time
A song of dissonance now plays

We can be no more
I beg of you release me
From within your grasp
Slowly released , freed

Caged love wanted not
With each foots bleeding step took
Leaving you behind
Crimson footprints will soon fade..............
