Cooking By Jack

So, i've decided that, until i get bored, i am going
to write in here some of my favorite recipes for
cooking and stuff..

Hopefully, you all enjoy it... if you have something
to add, or even just a comment, let me know..

----------------------------------------------------------------

Now to start is my fav recipe, and something i make
every saturday morning with a few variations..

~ French Toast ~

(or for my american pro-war friends - Freedom Toast)

2 Eggs
1 1/2 to 2 1/2 cups of milk
5 slices rye bread (4 if they're big slices)
2 pinches of Nutmeg
1 pinch of Cayanne
Splash of Vanilla
2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon

Optional:

A couple of pinches of Icing Sugar
1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
1/4 cup of chocolate shavings (toblerone & aero bars work best)
1 1/2 cups of Strawberry's, Blueberry's, Banana's
chopped up or sliced thin..

Beat the eggs until fluffyish, add milk, you can add more
if you like, i like about a cup and half. mix it all up.

then add the nutmeg, vanilla (use as much as you like for
that extra bit of flavor, you don't want so much that it
changes completely the colour of the mix) then the cayanne
and then finally the cinnamon.

Now, i usually like a lot of Cinnamon, use as much as you
think is really necessary, and as much as you like.

Turn the stovetop to about 3/4 the way to HI Heat.

throw some butter in the pan, or oil, whichever

let the pan heat up, you know it's ready when your
hand gets warm about 4" above the pan or skillet.

Drown and flip your Rye Bread into the mix, and
then toss very carefully into the skillet and wait about
a minute, and then flip, you want to flip it until it's like
nice and golden brown.

Then repeat untill all your slices of bread are done.

And toss on some fruit stuff, sliced thin, and if you like
throw a little butter on it and some icing sugar.

Then top it off with some syrup...

Enjoy.... :)
