Lethargic behavior

Do you ever feel like you have zero motivation? We're
talking, the phone rings for an eternity because you have
absolutely no desire to answer it. It's not that you are
avoiding answering it, it's just that you have no desire
to. I bet you have no idea what I'm talking about. Have
you ever just woken up one day and realized you do not
really care about doing your homework, or even going to
class, or anything? I don't even really care about the
future, about college or the fact that I don't know if I'm
even going to be able to go or not. I am convinced that
this madness we call life is not life at all, but just a
mad rush toward the one thing that is inevitable anyway--
death. Some may say my energy has atrophied, but I'd
rather be at peace within myself and appear as though I'm
falling apart than hold it all together in public and snap
everytime I'm alone with my thoughts. I have done the
latter for far too long. So what may seem like lethargic
behavior, I am convinced, is, in actuality, my newfound
sanity and the calmness that accompanies it.

If none of this makes any sense to you, don't worry; most
of the time my writing is meant purely for selfish
cathartic reasons.
