Into the looking-glass

Hello me it's me again...

Well yet again it's been a while between posts... and Lo
and behold I have a little more to say finally!

Bad news: The results are in for my dad, and apparently he
has the beginning signs of COPD (Chronic obstructive
pulmonary disease). Thankfully it is reversable, so long
as the twit gets the hint and stops smoking. In the
meantime he'll have to deal with being short of breath all
the time, having no energy, etc etc. And if he doesn't
wisen up he'll be on an Oxygen tank within two years or
so. Naturally I'm rooting for the positive outcome.

Good news: Work has me almost back to full hours again,
which is always a good thing. It means groceries... and
eating out... and movies, and Skiing!! ^_^

Unfortunately outside of work the little projects are
starting to pile up. I have a tendency to find more things
to do than I have time for and this month is no exeption.
As a result I'm going to be picking one project at a time
for the next while. The first will be finishing the books
that my Aunt graciously loaned me from her own spiritual
library. Then it'll be taking a couple days to organise my
thoughts, then I'll get started on the essay I mentioned in
my last post. Of course in between I'll be trying to make
my usual rounds on the static-highways of the net, just in
case anyone wants to say hello.

On my spiritual side things have been pretty calm lately.
My guide is still absent for the time being, I assume to
allow me some leisure to digest before delving into school
again. I'm doing my best to make the most of it but that's
a challenge given the activity of life around me.
Sometimes I envy those spiritual people that are
intelligent enough to get away from it all. I've found
myself wishing I had a place I gould go to for a week or so
away from the hustle and bustle. I probably could if I
really wanted to but I've anchored myself in for now. At
least for a while. In the meantime I've learned to be
adamant about getting time when I need it, and it helps a
great deal.
