Help!...I'm married to Bart Simpson!

March 2, 2001 Its a Friday night.
Well, it seems I am wore out. My husband Joe is such a
character. He is in grandpa heaven with this new grandbaby.
He has been driving me crazy all day acting like he's some
kind of silly grandpa, and talking in a voice like he's
dumb ar something. He is so silly sometimes, it wears me
out.
Today, we went shopping at the mall for the new baby. And
he acted like the biggest kid I ever saw. He must have told
every stranger he saw that he was a grandpa...and this is
our 6th grandbaby. He was pretty silly over the rest of
them, but not like he is over this one.
We went into this one baby store, where they have a kids
play area, and he just started playing in there like he was
a kid. I was so embarrassed, I had to take him by the ear,
like a kid, and haul him out of there. The clerks, who were
laughing, were actually sad to see us leave. Then we went
to McDonald's and he decided to go play in their play area,
too. I like to have never got him to get out of those
crawling tubes to come and eat. He actually wanted me to
bring him his hamburger and let him eat in there, but an
employee told him he had to get out of there. I was
thankful for that.
Like I say, sometimes I feel like I am married to Bart
Simpson. He's just a grown kid...and I dont mean at heart.
He is literally a kid in a man's body. But, as I've said
before, I love him very much. I dont know what I would do,
if anything were to happen to him.
We bought some baby toys today, and he is playing with the
toys while I am on the computer. Luckily, its just baby
toys, or he would have the whole house tore up. I have seen
him try to play basketball, football, and even act like he
is riding a stick horse. He would be hoppin' and a
hollerin' all thru the house playing cowboys and indians
all by himself. Sometimes with the grandkids sitting on the
couch just watching their silly grandpa make a fool of
himself. The grandkids just love him and sit there and
laugh as he entertains them. It's nothing for him to hold
their attention for hours at a time. The oldest is 7, down
to almost 2, and then the new baby.
I remember how he used to keep our own 2 children
entertained for hours just acting silly. The kids thought
their Dad was just another playmate. Did you see the movie
Mrs Doubtfire? The part where Robin Williams had a petting
zoo come to his house for his son's birthday party? Well,
Joe did the same thing, except he did not have them in the
house. I believe I would have blown my top if he had
brought them in the house. We had a mess to clean up
afterwards. It was my daughter's 8th birthday party. He did
not actually rent the animals, he just borrowed them from
friends and neighbors who have farms in the country. Back
then, they didnt really have petting zoos to rent animals
from.
Well, I am tired, so I will write again soon.
