today
so i decided to bite the bullet and apply for the job back
home...in all honesty, i would save some $$$ and if worst
came to worst i could always just rent an apartment or
something like that. so i was up early fine tuning my
resume and cover letter. i have that "island in the sun"
song in my head by weezer except when the chorus
goes "we'll never feel bad anymore" i think "won't work at
compaq anymore" :) also, i went to my chess club's message
board and canadian chess champion alexandre lesiege is
coming to town to do a simul~~!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!1!1!!!!
(for future reference, you can tell how excited i am by the
number of characters other than ! after my words). i'll
definitely play him but i'll be scared as hell...he's a
grandmaster and i've only played a simul against an
international master (one step down)...for all the chess
people out there here's the game (don't laugh too hard).
for all the non-chess people out there a 'simul' is a
simultaneous chess exhibition where the master plays
against like 40 people at the same time

enough and didn't seem like a stalker at all :) which is
always a good thing ;)
