English 151 essay...

Hey all! I didn't really have an exciting day today, so, I thought
I'd do somethign a little different with my little journal here. So..
I whipped out my folder of all of my essays from OU and I decided to
post this one. It's my most prized essay. I love it. It means so much
to me. So.. I hope you enjoy, and if you do, then there just might be
mroe of these little essays to come!

This essay is about my best friend... my mother:)

"My Mother"

"My mother is the most beautiful woman I ever saw. All I
am I owe to my mother. I attibute all my success in life to
the moreal, intellectual, and physical education received
from her." - George Washington

My mentor, my protector, my teacher, my best friend, my
mother. She gave up everything she had so that one day, I
mihgt have it all. When times were tough, she was tougher.
When I was younger, I used to put on her make-up and
clothes and pretend that I was her. She was my everything.

I am her reflection, an exact duplicate of her in every
way. She makes me happy, she makes me sad, she makes me
cry, she makes me laugh. I know some kids hate hearing, "I
only do this because I love you." but I love hearing it,
because I know she means it. I am grateful for everything.
Every swap with the belt, every smack on the mouth, every
week grounded, for it was all done in love.

Without my mother, I would be nowhere. She is the
epitome of everything that a mother should be. She molded
me into the person that I am today. Without her, m soul
would be imcomplete. She is my heart, my soul, my breath,
my strength when I am weak, my happiness when I am sad. I
often think about what it would be like if I were to
someday lose my mother, and I just cannot fathom it. I
know, if I were to lose her, that part of me would also
die.

My mother's job goes far beyond that of bring me into
this world; she has carried me through this world, and for
that, I am grateful, so grateful it cannot even be
expressed with words. A mother's love is something that
cannot be described. It is a feeling, only felt by those
who are lucky enough to receive it. I believe Abe Lincoln
said it best when he stated, "All that I am, I owe to my
angel mother."

El Fin... Thanks:)
