The Space Shuttle is Lost...

Today my heart rides half mast in my chest. The space
shuttle was lost today over Texas. All seven on board were
lost. One of the lost was Israel's first astronaut. When
the last shuttle blew up there was a long period of time
where the space program was sort of at a stand still (I
guess while they were investigating the explosion) but that
can't happen this time because there are people out at the
space station and they are going to need supplies.
Of course the TV is going crazy. No network worth it's
weight is going to miss out on something like THIS! It's
been a day of historic footage, astronaut biographies,
family comments, criticism of the NASA budget cuts, reports
from Israel, and on and on and on and on and on...
Thankfully, it was not terror related or today would
certainly be a turning point in recent world events. My
heart is too heavy to rise to the top. It's hard for some
to understand... Most of us didn't even know a single
astronaut's name that was on that shuttle (in fact, we were
more likely to know the Israeli astronaut's name than the
Americans due to the news about him being the first for his
country) yet all Americans are mourning them today...
