Poetry...Notice Me, Christmas Town

Notice Me

I touch the earth
In a lovely way
But no one seems to notice.
I spend all
My time helping people
But no one seems to notice.
Never party or disobey
I'm always the good girl
But no one seems to notice.
I give good advice to
All
But no one seems to notice.
I never lie or cheat
Always telling the truth
But no one seems to notice.
Until
It's too
Late.
Now that I'm gone
Everyone seems to notice me
As someone I always was-the
Best friend you could ever have.
But
Before now
No one
Ever
Seemed to
Notice me.

Christmas Town

Recently fallen snow covers the ground
The smell of winter fills the air
Children playing in the snow
Living life without a care.

All alone, a snowman stands
Proudly in the street
People go rushing by
Without even noticing the lonely snowman.

Candles flicker in the window
Like a guiding light
Casting a small shadow
Into the quite of the night.

In the distance church bells stand
Announcing the arrival of Christmas
Signaling the birth of the King
To this small Christmas town.
