Basics for Sunday, September 9, 2001

**mop kitchen floor
**schedule Gavin for his SATs
**do laundry and put on clothesline
**make peach cobbler

DINNER: Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sliced
cucumbers/tomatoes, bread from the bakery/butter and peach cobbler for dessert

QUILTING: Still the same: Applique three baskets for Patek quilt and
quilt one row of Aunt Clara's Bowtie quilt.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY: Adding a little nutmeg to a peach cobbler tastes good!

READING: Dead and Buried by Howard Engel

WEATHER: Sunny and hot with highs in the upper 80's

SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW: Appointment for dental check-up
and cleaning in Junction City and grocery shopping. Go to country
house after dinner tomorrow to move sheep to other pasture, pick fruit in orchard,
water garden, and get a load of firewood.

QUOTE: The dry clothes danced and fluttered on the clothesline and
wind turned the silver side of maple leaves out, which means rain. ~
