An Hour in the Life.....
I wonder how often wives hear their husbands say at the end of a work day "What did
you do all day?" I'm certain John has wondered that at times but the man was wise
enough never to actually say it. He has also known a few days in the past 20 years
when I've been so ill I never got out of bed and by the end of the day he could see
what the house looked like when I hadn't done anything.
I thought it would be interesting to list what I did during a one-hour period today.
Here it is:
11:44 a.m.- 11:46 a.m. Made bed
11:47 a.m.- 12:13 p.m. Vacuumed
12:14 p.m.- 12:18 p.m. Put wet clothes in dryer and started new load in washer
12:19 p.m.- 12:22 p.m. Sat down for a few minutes. I have one of those front loading
washers. They're supposed to save electricity and water but they don't
do much to help old backs, especially when the load is heavy bath towels
12:23 p.m. -12:43 p.m. Drove to other house, four miles away. Picked up mail, fed sheep, watered garden,
picked tomatoes, cucumbers, and green peppers. There are too many to just
eat fresh now and soon I'll have to begin freezing the tomatoes and peppers
and feeding the extra cucumbers to the sheep.
So, there it is. One hour in my day. Now I think I'll go take a little nap. Just kidding.
