Happy Holidays

Nobody ever celebrates the day after Christmas. I always
wondered why. In any culture except Christianity, the
winter season includes a many-day-long ritual durring
which gifts are given, old wine is drunk, and friends are
welcomed into the home as if they lived there all along.
In general, it's a bunch of merry-making and I like it.
However, Christianity does nothing of the sort. It's one
day and that's all you get. I'm not so keen on that. I
know it may just be that I work the day after Christmas,
but I think it should be something along the legnth of a
week where we all go home fat and happy and feel good
about it. Think on it for a second. Why not? Business men
would bitch, and then take all 7 days of their vacation
anyways, and we'd all be better for it. At least that's
what I think. I could be wrong.
