Yea for quiet time

I decided not to go to church again this morning. Instead,
I've done some Bible study and praying and worshipping and
stuff. So I was done with everything I wanted to do and
then I had an urge to read Proverbs. I read Proverbs
pretty regularly, so I just picked up where I had left off,
which was chapter 16. Keep in mind that I'm stressed about
my chemistry final that I haven't worked on at all today.
I also have one, single, solitary gray hair right on the
top of my head that shows perfectly where I part my hair,
and I swear it's getting grayer. (Is that a word???) So
yeah, here are some verses from Proverbs 16
v. 3-4 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans
will succeed. The Lord works out everything for his own
ends..."
v. 9 "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord
determines his steps."
v. 16 "How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose
understanding rather than silver!"
v. 20 "Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and
blessed is he who trusts in the Lord"
v. 31 "Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by
a righteous life."
v. 33 "The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision
is from the Lord."

That all makes me feel much better about my chem final. It
sort of reminds me that God's definition of success may not
always be the same as mine.
