Wisdom and the Sage

The leaves are shriveled on the sage,
The era over,
Time to turn the page-

Luck: a four leaf clover.
OMG This poem still isn’t even half over

Roll the dice,
Take a chance,
Increase the spice,
Go out and dance.

Play for keeps,
‘cuz only losers weep.
Keep quiet, don’t make a sound.
Live it up,
Shout, be loud.

Sing joy to the world,
Hop, skip, jump,
Stand strong, be proud.
Laugh and play,
Good-bye worries,
Today’s a brand new day.

Possibilities are endless,
Money doesn’t equal happiness-

The horizons ever faraway,
You never know what’s coming,
what’s to go or here to stay.

Mountains echo things long ago said,
If you can hear me, I’m humming.
Hmm-mm-hmmm

My feet are made of lead.
Green grass grows…
How long is your nose?

Do you lie? railroad tracks…
send an email send a fax
call me now
well, "OW"

I’m not a complete idiot
-some parts are missing,
Besides we were only kissing.

Don’t rain on my parade.
Shallow love will fade,
I’m just a little afraid-
but I’m brave.

My heart cries,
"It ain’t over ‘til the fat lady sings"
And I'll grow my wings.
And pigs do fly...
way up high...
in the clear blue sky...

He’s a few clowns short of a circus,
There’s a rhyme, a reason, a purpose.

Porpoise, chorus raise up your voice,
Whatever Oh that’s so very clever.
Thirteen, unlucky, not for me,
Go climb or hug a tree.

High five, do a funny jive.
Paint, pastels, charcoal, clay
Talk, only if you have something important to say.

One breath, a gasp, a shudder, a caress.
3 Little Words, "Kiss this Good-bye"
A rose on a bed,
And there are thorns,
Not all devils wear horns.
Man is suppose to be free,
Twiddle Dumb, Twiddle Dee.

Then there are tears…
In case anyone hears…
A drum beats,
Fast and hard,
Thank you for my birthday card.

Are you heard in that crowd?
Of voices and noiseless speech-
Stand back watch the pain in others faces,
‘til they leave no traces.
Now its time for me to teach-

Let it rain,
break free of your chains,
travel in the fast lane,
stare out of your window pane…

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
If I could, I would, but I won’t.

Wisdom shot to shreds,
Let the guillotine chop the heads.
Life’s great, without the hate.

Can you gage and count the things-
You could of have done,
But didn't-
Now where's the fun?

The different choices that could have happened?
But didn’t because you couldn’t see,
When you weren't quiet and just there to be.

The outcome of the future as the past crosses your way.
As we all age life begins
Life ends as we all age,
And the leaves are shriveled on the sage.
