Velvet Night

Soft, black, crushed velvet sprinkled with glitter for a
sky,
Shimmering, silvery, stars light up this velvet night,
The sky is a black hole, consuming all the light,
Full of eerie silence, a beautiful velvet night.

Shh! The wind whistles and whispers gently in my ear,
Leaves and sticks so quietly serenade the night,
Crash! Shuffle, scatter, silence now sets in,
Shh! The wind whistles, the music starts again.

Lonely, empty streets that never seem to end,
Flooded with black, silver, dark purple, blue and gray,
Sneaky, scary, stalking shadows imitate my every move,
Air as cold and crisp as ice, never giving in
