Not fun at all

I'm preparing for a job interview tomorrow afternoon - a
government auditing position. It doesn't sound like a very
exciting job, but it's the only interview I've got so far.
I'm not sure I want to be in this major or faculty - see
previous entry for discussion - but I want to do well in
this interview.

I'm nervous - of course. I need to write paragraphs about
all my skills and read them out loud. I need to practice my
"capable" face. It's gruelling, but I know that I will feel
less nervous during the interview itself. Interviews are
like exams and concerts in that they seem to exist on a
different plane of existance, and our brains file them in a
different drawer from everything else.

I booked an appointment with the career counsellor today, so
I can sort out my feelings on whether I should get out of
accounting once and for all. I need to talk to someone about
this who isn't my mother. The appointment is on friday -
take charge!
