Well this weekend was absolutely amazing. Edin and I
planned on going out Friday night. We met outside and I
asked where he wanted to go. I was wearing a really nice
dress and he was wearing a dress shirt and black
pants...with a nice black belt. He looked really good:)
When I asked where we were going, he handed me an index
card that said Valentino's and the address, both in
Cantonese and English! I got reservations and got a
Chinese person to write it in cantonese so the taxi driver
would understand where we needed to go. It was amazing.
So we got dropped off a half hour before the reservation
time. No problem they seated us right away. It was very
small, but oh so romantic. They had a guy going from table
to table, singing love songs with an acoustic guitar. We
had the best dinner, I had pasta with mushrooms and
artichockes in a cream sauce. He had veal loin and
veggies. The wine was exquisite and the total bill? 790
HK dollars. Ouch. Of course we split it because no way
would I expect him to pay the wholoe thing.
After we left, we walked along the harbor promenade. How
romantic. It was a clear night, and you would see all the
lights along the harbor, on the HK Island side. Oh my
goodness, it was incredible. Then we took the Star Ferry
(first time for me) over to the island. We took the Peak
tram (like the Pittsburgh incline) up to Victoria Peak.
The sight from this place is dream-like. It was
breathtaking. We got pancake ice-cream cone things, and
took a bunch of pictures at the top. You can ee for miles
upon miles when it isn't hazy...of course it was very clear
for our date:)I cannot believe how amazing the night was.
On the way back, we helped 9 French adults figure out the
MTR (subway) system. It was great because I got to
practice my French for something practical! They wouldn't
have gotten anywhere if we didn't stop. We showed them
what stop to take, how to purchase tickets, and where to
walk to get them back to their hotel. That was our good
deed for the day. It was an incredible night. I am really
scared that I am falling in love, but I don't want to say
it. I hate saying it first. I never had to, and I won't
start now. I am just so scared that it will freak him
out. BUt at the same time, he has done things that have
expressed such love...i dunno
